In one of the groups I've been working with since the start of the year, we've had so many laughs throughout our lessons.
Alongside countless songs, picking tasks and new chords, we do weekly challenges to assess progress.
Recently, one of our young learners achieved 55 chord changes in 1 minute!
A particular favourite song of many of our students is 'Drunken Sailor' because they LOVE changing the words to be something really silly.
Lifelong Musicians!
Over the years, I've worked with hundreds of families, many of whom have had their children progress into musical studies as young adults, while others still pick up the guitar when they're out with friends.
One family comes to mind where I was travelling out to their son's school and teaching him to play the ukulele.
Now as a 20-year-old, he has competed in Battle of the Bands, is studying music at University, and plays multiple instruments.
What started with a spark, and a commitment to keep learning has grown into something incredible.
